Job Description What do we expect from you? Mondrian Abu Dhabi is preparing for an exciting opening, and we are looking for an experienced Manager, People Development to help build and shape the organizational culture during the pre-opening phase. This key role supports the Director of People & Culture in ensuring a thriving workplace environment, with a focus on learning, training, employee engagement, and performance management. You will play a pivotal role in developing programs that enhance team members’ skills and drive a culture that aligns with Mondrian s brand values. How your day looks like: Assist in developing and implementing learning and development programs to empower employees and elevate their performance. Support onboarding and training initiatives to ensure employees are well-prepared and aligned with Mondrian s values from day one. Collaborate with leadership to design learning paths that enhance career growth while maintaining a focus on exceptional guest service. Drive employee engagement initiatives that promote positive workplace culture and job satisfaction. Provide guidance and support for day-to-day employee relations, helping to maintain a motivating and inclusive work environment. Support performance management processes that facilitate personal and organizational development. Maintain employee recognition programs that foster a culture of appreciation and excellence. Ensure the implementation of programs and initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion. Stay informed on best practices in learning and development, ensuring programs are effective and aligned with the hotel s business objectives. This role requires strong communication skills, creativity, and a strategic mindset to translate business needs into actionable learning strategies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for building a culture of growth and performance, fostering an environment where employees feel inspired to grow. Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of experience in People Development or Learning management, with at least 3 years in a Manager-level role, ideally in a luxury or lifestyle hotel environment. Experience working in a truly global work environment is essential. Prior pre-opening experience is highly preferred. Proven experience in developing and implementing training and development programs in a global work environment. Familiarity with HR systems, performance management tools, and learning technologies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across diverse teams. Knowledge of local labor laws and best practices in employee relations and development. Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on providing solutions to employee development needs. A commitment to promoting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
